Friday Dana and Darcy taught at Muumbe's school. Most of the team went to Kanyama church to build pews. Beth and Brianna went with Muumbe and visited Patrick's farm. Then they went to meet the orphan Brianna sponsors. Then everyone went to visit an orphanage and passed out activity packets and treats and gave 3 soccer balls away. We also delivered a lot of bibles, clothes and other supplies to the church. We all enjoyed dinner together at Alfred and Muumbe's home. Lumba and John roasted corn for us to try. All but 4 of the team head home tomorrow.

Thursday we met up with John the carpenter before heading out of Livingstone. We stopped at Zimba and handed out 300 activity packets to some of the children at the mission school. They also saw a python there.
Then we traveled to Choma and had lunch. Before returning to Lusaka, the bus stopped to get fabric. Alfred, Muumbe, Dave, and Bri made a stop in Simweendengwe and saw people drawing at the well funded by Compass Church. The drive back to Lusaka was a bit scary when it got dark and then rainy.

Wednesday we went to Botswana to Chobe Safari. The morning we were on a boat and saw impala, birds, hippos, and crocodiles. Then we had a nice lunch at the lodge. The afternoon we went in a jeep and saw 100+ elephants, close to 20 giraffes, more impala, hippos, and Brian says he saw a lion. We returned to Livingstone and bought souvineers and then enjoyed dinner and then back to our hotel for bed.

Monday, February 20, 2012

Monday we drove to Choma. On the way, we dropped off David, Darcy, and Dana with a missionary. They were going to Jembo to teach at the school and stay the night at the Bible College.
In Choma, we made another split. The majority of the team traveled to Muumbe's village. There were over 900 students at the school they visited. Before they left the village, Muumbe's dad gave the team a goat as a gift, which rode with the team on the bus back to Choma.
Alfred, Brian, Lynn, and Brianna stayed around Choma and visited the farm land that Alfred owns. They also visited with some of the people on the land. Then they went to the Secondary school and saw Lindi and Lulu and Vanessa.
We all met up at the Choma guest house for the night.

Sunday half of the group worshiped at Kanyama A and Brian gave the message. The other team worshiped at Kanyama B and Dan gave the message. Each service was over three hours long and the music was incredible. Then we met up and drove 4 hours to Monze to a mission house for the night. When we were almost there, we came across a tractor blocking the road with a trailer stuck in the mud. The guys got out and in one push got it unstuck.
We enjoyed dinner at the mission house and then had devotions before bed.

Then half of the team went to Alfred's, and the rest stayed at the guest house. We showered and rested and then all met up at Alfred's. We presented some bicycles from the container to local pastors. Then we enjoyed dinner and went to bed early.
