Mar 29 update
We left the house at 6:00 am. Now that Josh had his bags, he wanted to give away some kid's packs. We drove thru the same compound (Kanyama) where Brian and Alfred had gone to church. We stopped outside the school and found some children who had arrived early for school. They weren't due at school until 7:30, but were 1 hr. early. Josh handed out some kid's packs to some very happy children. The looks on their faces was priceless.
We left Kanyama compound for the airport. Arrived at airport at 7:20 for an 8:45 departure. No long lines at check in or security/customs/immigration. Departed only about 5 minutes late and arrived LHR on time.
Were near head of the line to clear customs back into the UK. Took the Underground downtown to the hotel. After some minor confusion arrived the hotel approx. 8:30. Checked in and walked a few blocks down the street for supper at The Swan. Arrived back at hotel about 10:30, to check in for flights online and update blog.
Cory will depart hotel and 7:30 for Gatwick-DFW. Brian, Troy, Bret, and Josh will depart hotel for Heathrow-ORD.
Pictures to follow when we get back to the states.

Mar 28 update
Troy and Bret attended chapel this morning before going to work. They started seeing patients at 8:30, with Troy having a line of approx. 10 already. Bret was caught up by noon and left the pharmacy to eat lunch and pack. Troy worked straight thru lunch and finished about 1:00pm.
After saying goodbye to Ed and Wilma at the Pilgrim Wesleyan Mission, we headed for Lusaka. We stopped in Choma. Alfred picked up the twins while we went to the museum and gift shop. We purchased several nice items to bring home and used up the remainder of our Kwatcha.
Left Choma about 4:30 and arrived at Alfred and Muumbe's at about 9:30. Muumbe had supper waiting for us which was delicious. We packed our goods, and got to bed about 11:30 pm.

Wednesday Update

Monday we checked on irrigation equipment in Lusaka. The same company also sell fertilizer and banana trees. Our goal is to irrigate a portion of Alfred's property in Lusaka to use as a test plot for other areas in Zambia. We also checked on local prices for tractors. The implement dealer did not have implements so we need to check another dealer. In the afternoon, we left for Zimba to pick up Troy and Bret and go to Victoria Falls. We checked out their living quarters at the hospital. They were great. They even had a generator which was nice since the electricity was off. We stayed in Zimba on Monday night at the Wesleyan Mission House.

3/26/07 Update
Monday, March 26, 2007
Yesterday, we were all in worship for the morning. Brian and Alfred and the children went to Kanyama Pilgrim Wesleyan church. Brian taught Sunday school thru and interpreter and Pastor Kalembo gave the message. The music was brought by several different groups and was very inspiring. The building was filled to capacity with people worshiping.
Josh went to, Kalingalinga Pilgrim Wesleyan church. This church is a plant without a permanent building, meeting in a classroom. Josh brought the message thru an interpreter. The music was performed by several special groups with the highlight being the children’s choir. This service was also filled to capacity, with some standing. They are hoping to purchase a vacant building.
Cory went to John Howard Pilgrim Wesleyan church. This was a little larger than the other 2 churches. Cory brought greetings to the congregation. The music was brought by a praise team and one other ladies’ group. This church was also filled to capacity with the children sitting on the floor.
The afternoon activities consisted of the dedication of the ILISA office. The dedication service was very moving.
We are headed out to meet with Troy and Bret today so will update on Wed when we get back.

Zambia Update 3/24
We arrived in Zambia around 10:00 am this morning. After lunch Troy and Bret headed out to Zimba Mission hospital, Brian, Josh & Cory went to Pilgrim Wesleyn Church headquarters to shower and meet some folks who work there.
Josh stayed there to meet with the pastor of the church where he will attend and preach tomorrow.
Brian and Cory went to the History Makers conference where Alfred was leading. We then picked up Josh and went to see the Kalembo farm. The crops at the farm looked fantastic! The corn is 8 feet tall, the peanuts, beans, yams all looked great also. They have approx. 9 acres under cultivation, all planted, cultivated, and harvested by hand. The tractor hasn't arrived yet, but they are eagerlying awaiting it.
We haven't heard from Troy and Bret since they left, but didn't expect to. It will be nice to sleep in a bed tonight, for the first time since we left.
